I’m a CTO and a Software Architect with a background in full-stack development, DevOps, cloud engineering, team management, and data engineering. I help companies align their technology with their business strategy and create a culture of disciplined execution.

I work with startups and more established companies by understanding what matters to the business and focusing on the end results. At the moment, I’m more involved in the FinTech space, but I’ve also worked in insurance, aerospace projects, open-source, e-commerce, and other industries.

This blog is where I write to think. I document lessons from building products, leading teams, and working with exceptional people, and I hope these lessons will be useful to others.

What I do

My work covers many areas, but I’m better at:

  • Architecting and implementing new products, both internal and client-facing.
  • Researching and testing new technologies, and building MVPs.
  • Creating an IT vision and strategy within the company to support the overall business strategy.
  • Building new teams and helping existing teams break barriers and reach new heights.
  • Finding bottlenecks in the development process and making it more fluid and enjoyable.
  • Coaching and mentoring other engineers to help them reach their potential and boost their careers.

Work Experience

  • As a CTO of a FinTech company, I’ve launched a payment processing business. I joined the company when it was just a handful of people and helped grow it into a mature business with an exceptional team.
  • I’ve worked as a freelance developer/consultant and helped startups launch new products in e-commerce, aerospace, crypto, and payment industries.
  • I’ve worked as a software developer and an architect for large enterprise clients in the reinsurance sector. During this time, I’ve led small and medium-sized teams to implement new internal and client-facing products, researched new technical solutions, and helped clients roll them out across the company.
  • I’ve been the lead frontend developer at Zabbix, which gave me my first experience as a team lead and provided me with some great insights into the world of open-source software.
